Badgers, Bats, & Bibles-2016 Crusade

Badgers, Bats, & Bibles

2016 Wisconsin Crusade

Today marks five years since I had just returned from playing softball in four different Ohio prisons on my first trip with the Saints Prison Ministry.  The team that I got to minister with was the team that was based out of New Jersey.  New Jersey is where the ministry started and this team was a special group of guys who spent several years being the trailbla-  20165zers for the rest of the ministry.  When I got home from the trip, I wanted to start a team in Peoria that was just like theirs!

This Tuesday, I will be leaving for my 10th Crusade since becoming part of the ministry.  Since that weekend in August of 2011, I have been to prison 69 times in 10 different states.  During that time we have preached the Gospel to hundreds of inmates and have seen several men come to know Jesus as their Savior.

This coming trip to Wisconsin is going to be special as well!  I’m looking forward to spending a week with some of those same guys who were my teammates and mentors on my first trip in 2011.  It will also be a blessing to spend time with guys I’ve served with here in Peoria and other trips over the years.

We will be visiting six prisons in six days this week.  I will have the opportunity to preach to the crowd at Racine Correctional Institution this Thursday.  I will also be doing one of the team devotions this Friday night.  I also plan on sharing a recap of how each day went on my Facebook ( www.facebook.com/tgibson62 )  and my blog,  www.tomgibson.me
Here is where I will be each day of the trip. Please keep the men at these facilities in prayer!
