This has been a busy week with a lot of driving time (so no, I’m not typing and driving!) and couple of late nights returning back to the hotel and I’ve been ready to crash as soon as we got back to the hotel!
Tuesday started with a trip driving up to O’Hare airport in Chicago to meet up with the rest of the team traveling from New Jersey and Georgia. It was great to see several of my teammates from previous trips over the years plus it is awesome to meet several new guys on this trip.
Once we settled in at our hotel we traveled to Prairie Du Chien Correctional Institutional Center. We got to see two different smaller populations and play two softball games. We won both of the games and got to share the Gospel with about 120 guys total during both sessions. Our guys did a solid job during the ministry time and we saw 21 men indicate that they had accepted Christ as their Savior.
Yesterday we traveled to Racine Correctional. We saw three different very large populations and handed out close to 750 Gospels in all! I got to have several good conversations with the men there during and in between games. I also had the chance to have some friendly trash talking with all of the Packers/Brewers fans! We went 2-1 on the field with the last team beating us on a walk off hit in the last inning. It was fun watching them celebrate and have fun after that win. 69 men indicated that had made a decision to follow Jesus at Racine.
Today we are heading back to Racine to see one more population. I am sharing the Gospel today at Racine. Please pray that I am clear when sharing the Gospel. Please keep our guys in prayer as we have seen God do some great things in the last two days!
